Closed shop in the lower gallery and a butcher who seemed critical of demolishing this market and rebuilding it on 'The Moor' on the other side of Sheffield. The market sat in a lucrative position by the train station and the junction to main road out to the M1. The council said it was so they could uncover Sheffield castle under the site, possibly the worst castle in Yorkshire. Who builds a castle at the bottom of seven hills? No doubt the real reason will be more dubious redevelopment from Sheffield council. Seems strange that this is the same council that once had the moniker 'the socialist republic of South Yorkshire' attached to them. by danieljbenson
